Hormone pellet therapy is a form of hormone replacement treatment where tiny hormone-containing pellets are inserted under the skin — usually in the hip or upper buttocks — by a healthcare provider. These pellets are about the size of a grain of rice and release hormones slowly and continuously into the bloodstream over several months (often 3–6 months) without the need for daily pills or creams. These hormones are often bioidentical, meaning they are derived from plant sources and are chemically similar to hormones naturally made by the body (e.g., estrogen, testosterone).
